Abundant Life is seeking a part-time youth basketball coach to guide our students while they learn individual and team game skills, sportsmanship, and fair play. 

Responsibilities:

  • Coach an assigned group of children emphasizing skill development, safety, fair play, Christ-like sportsmanship, and fun.

  • Preside over team activities including all scheduled team practices and games. Participate in the creation of game schedules.

  • Be responsible for team equipment. 

  • Ensure playing time for all your players regardless of the score.

  • Work to establish and improve team unity and spirit.  Pray with the team before each game and practice.

  • Adhere to school policies, and objectives. Lead by example among team parents to support the responsibilities of the referee and league leadership.

  • Run parent informational meetings and oversee distribution and collection of uniforms.

Experience:

  • Minimum 22 years of age and one year of coaching at any level (REQUIRED).

  • Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification. (REQUIRED)

  • Enthusiasm and positive spirit with a commitment to Christ-like participation.
