Director of Marketing & Communication
The Director of Marketing and Communications leads the development and execution of an integrated strategy to support the growth and vitality of the church, K–8 school, and early childhood program. This role focuses on increasing attendance, enrollment, and engagement while strengthening brand clarity, messaging, and community presence.
The Director oversees all marketing and communications functions, including advertising, digital platforms, social media, public relations, and internal and external communications. This position supports enrollment, retention, development initiatives, facility utilization, and ministry growth through effective use of marketing tools and strategies, as directed by the President.
Responsibilities
The Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for the following key functions:
- Support and align performance with the Vision and Mission of the ministry.
- Adhere to and model behaviors consistent with the Statement of Faith.
- Contribute to a Christ-centered culture through personal witness and leadership.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase attendance, enrollment, and participation across all ministries.
- Establish and maintain clear, consistent messaging and brand identity.
- Oversee storytelling, positioning, and communications to reflect mission, values, and strengths.
- Manage all communication channels, including website, social media, email, print, and on-site messaging.
- Develop marketing strategies for new and existing programs and services.
- Partner with school and childcare leadership to support admissions, retention, and engagement.
- Design targeted campaigns for key audiences including families, students, congregants, and donors.
- Strengthen retention through clear, consistent, and engaging communication, events and programs designed to increase engagement.
- Support development and fundraising through campaign messaging and donor communications.
- Track and analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve outcomes.
- Coordinate events and outreach to increase visibility and community connection.
- Oversee internal and external communications, including surveys and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage web and social media presence to enhance visibility and reputation.
- Support strategic initiatives as directed by the President.
- Lead advertising and promotional efforts across all ministry areas, including enrollment, retention, rentals, sponsorships, and services.
- Implement a communication strategy that ensures alignment with mission and organizational priorities.
- Partner with the President to define and execute target market and segmentation strategies.
- Assist in developing policies and procedures related to marketing, communications, and development.
- Stay current on trends in marketing, communications, and ministry engagement.
- Participate in and support major fundraising efforts.
- Build relationships with external organizations to support enrollment growth.
- Coordinate media outreach, including radio and other channels.
- Support corporate sponsorship and donor engagement programs.
- Assist in planning and executing special events.
- Support and implement Open House and enrollment events.

Professional Qualifications
The Director of Marketing & Communications will have the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field preferred;
Demonstrated success in a marketing or communications role;
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities;
Evidence of creativity and innovation in past work.
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday-Friday
- Year Round, 12-month position

Compensation
Salary: $70,000-$80,000
