Worship & Production Pastor/Director

Summary of Position

Oversee all aspects of worship and production, uniting creative and technical teams to lead people into worship, create space for God to move, and set the table for the message. This role focuses on building and equipping teams, incorporating a fresh, engaging worship style, and aligning worship services with the church’s vision and mission to reach and transform generations.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and equip worship team members (musicians/vocalists), sound, and oversee MediaShout teams.

  • Develop a clear written onboarding process for new team members (expectations, auditions, training, and timelines).

  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and spiritual growth among team members.

  • Schedule and oversee teams using Planning Center to ensure seamless execution of services.


Worship & Service Oversight

  • Streamline the worship song library to a core selection of approximately 40 songs, reviewed every six months to ensure intentionality & excellence.

  • Plan and lead weekly rehearsals (Thursday nights) with excellence and efficiency.

  • Work within the Order of Service (OOS) created by the Lead Pastor to ensure flow, consistency, and alignment with the church’s vision.

  • Proficiency in Ableton Live for live performance using Multitracks.

  • Evaluate the worship style and incorporate creative elements to better engage younger generations while maintaining authenticity.


Production Oversight

  • Supervise sound, MediaShout, and live stream teams to ensure high-quality audio, visuals, and online experiences.

  • Oversee the input of all worship slides, Scripture, and sermon media into Planning Center/MediaShout.

  • Coordinate with the speaker for sermon slides.

Vision & Collaboration

  • Develop an annual plan and budget in collaboration with the Lead Pastor for worship and production.

  • Align worship services with the mission to create vibrant, engaging spaces for people to encounter God.

  • Emphasize worship as more than performance—helping people experience God’s love, hope, and healing.

  • Regularly evaluate and implement improvements to the worship experience, sound quality, and production.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Worship Team (Musicians/Vocalists)

  • Production Team (Livestream, Slides & Sound)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong experience in worship leading, team building, and production oversight.

  • Proficiency with Planning Center, MediaShout (or similar platforms), and sound systems.

  • Proficiency in music with the ability to lead worship both vocally and instrumentally.

  • Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience fostering team growth and spiritual development.
